More about the Instructors:
Jareth Garza -
"My name is Jareth Garza, and I'm from Central Missouri. I've been working as a general locksmith for over 10 years, with a strong focus on automotive car key origination.
I find car key origination to be the ultimate test of skill and knowledge for a locksmith. Being able to produce keys for a majority of cars on the road is an incredible achievement.
This drive to learn and improve is what fuels my passion for the trade. Every day, there is something new to learn, a new tool to discover, and a new idea to explore. I firmly believe that a true locksmith should never stop learning and growing. I am constantly in a state of being a "rookie" and that's what I love to teach others too."
Paul Van Nevel -
"I entered the locksmithing industry through non-traditional means, learning through online resources. Along the way, I found that many industry leaders can be unapproachable and dismissive. I believe in creating an inclusive community and equipping the next generation of locksmiths with the skills they need to provide excellent service and support their families.
Since 2015, I've run my own small business, 'Horseshoe Lock & Key,' offering services such as car key origination and safe opening to clients in and around Manhattan, Kansas.
Recently, my focus has shifted towards the automotive industry, and I am determined to master the skills needed to make keys for any vehicle that comes my way."
