The DTX-DX2 provides hinge-side protection, the DX Bolt is an additional line of defense against break-ins. Even if the exterior door hinges are compromised the DX Bolts keep your door locked and secure. These passive dead bolts are easy to install and offer another layer of attack resistance. Just what I needed . . . but

This is a great product that is easy to install. Just a word of warning. The template that is supplied is not true to scale. It must have been shrunk down while photo copying it. If you use the template your holes are about a 3/8 inch to close together and you have to redrill in another location. I learned the hard way by following the instructions and using the template. On second attempt, I had to hold the actual product on the door frame to trace my hole locations.
